The great room and bar at Riott, under feature pendants

Services

One studio, sketch to installation

Design, fabrication and installation under one roof, carried by one project manager and one idea.

HomeServices

The fixture that gets hung is the fixture that was drawn.

When design, fabrication and installation pass between different companies, the idea thins out at every handoff. At Lūmm one studio carries it the whole way, with one project manager and one element as the through-line.

The commission

Six stages, one thread

Every commission moves through the same six stages. Take all of them, or bring us in where your team needs us.

  1. A concept rendering of red lanterns over the dining room at Honey Chinese

    Stage 1: Design consultation

We begin with the space, the people in it and your vision for it. Together we choose the element the project will carry, and digital renderings show the result before anything is built.

    You receive

    • Vision and brief
    • Element selection
    • Digital renderings
    • Estimate

    We need from you

Drawings, a mood board or a single reference image

  2. The boardroom at Riott, under suspended linear fixtures

    Stage 2: Project management

One project manager works with your team from concept to installation, alongside our industrial and architectural designers, so the vision holds throughout.

    You receive

    • One point of contact
    • Design detailing
    • Finish selection

  3. Two submittal sheets from Byblos Downtown: a host stand and a linear pendant, each with elevations and dimensions

    Stage 3: Submittal packages

Every piece is drawn as a full submittal sheet, so the design team, the general contractor and the electrician sign off on the same information before anything is made.

    You receive

    • Material callouts
    • Finishes
    • Critical dimensions
    • Weights
    • Electrical specifications

    We need from you

    Review and sign-off

  4. Close-up of a hand-painted red lantern with black calligraphy

    Stage 4: Custom fabrication

Fabrication, finishing and assembly by hand in metal, glass and other materials. Every piece is tested before it leaves the studio.

    You receive

    • Fabrication
    • Finishing
    • Assembly
    • Testing

    We need from you

    Approval of finish samples

  5. A linear light and a cylinder pendant installed under the steel deck at the Jeff Nippard studio

    Stage 5: Certification
