A restaurant dressed in deep blue and warm wood needed lighting that could carry the colour from the bar to the second-floor dining rooms: one family of pieces, made to measure for each room.
The brief
Working from Navigate Design's interior scheme, the package called for custom fixtures that read as one collection: cobalt pleated shades, powder-coated frames and brushed-brass patina, each sized to its room and hanging height.
The element
Tide
Depth · Calm
Tide carries the deep blue through the restaurant. Cobalt pleated linen and brushed brass read as one calm, reflective family, from the bar to the second-floor dining rooms.
The approach
Every piece is drawn as a full submittal sheet (critical dimensions, finishes, lamp data and hanging heights), so the design team, the general contractor and the electrician sign off on the same information before anything is made. Canopy positions on the second floor are coordinated on site around the existing HVAC.
The pieces
- Short linear pendant: 7'-3" long, three on the ground floor, with gradient-glass accents between twin pleated shades
- Long linear pendant: the same family, stretched for the larger room
- Second-floor linear pendant: about 8'-9", four in total, pleated linen over a brushed-brass inner shade
- Bar counter lamp: 11¾" × 15", five along the bar, with a semi-sheer shade on a rope-turned stem
- Host stand: 2'-3" in diameter, carved fluted wood, a stone top, antique-brass rail and an integrated cobalt lamp
- Drivers concealed in each fixture or canopy, so every piece dims smoothly with the room
